Stories of Strength was an anthology created in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Although the project was led by Jenna Glatzer, several people volunteered to help with the creation, editing, design and promotion. I helped promote the anthology after it was published, and I donated Behind Closed Doors, a personal essay about my experience with domestic violence.
Stories of Strength was filled with several inspiring essays, fiction and poetry. 100% of the proceeds from every sale went toward disaster relief efforts. Unfortunately, the anthology is now out of print, but it’s still a project that I’m proud to have been a part of.
